A question constantly asked

Do you ever randomly ask yourself, "Why do I like horses?" (I realize that most of you reading this are thinking what an idiotic question and a pointless one too. But seriously, it is a cool thing to think about.......O! Correction! The correct question for all of us is, "Why do I love horses?").
I sometimes am just like, "Therese shut up! Don't even listen to yourself!" Although I do say that sometimes; I more often say this, "Horses are animals that love to be loved, and love to love back!" Don't you fellow S.D.P.S agree with me?
Horses aren't just this animal that can produce such fantastic ability and do amazing things. They are animals that show off God's artistic talents :).... Horses are truly a magnificent and majestic being, (take it, they do produce a ridiculous amount manure and throw temper-tantrums sometimes), but they add so much to my world. Giving me a beautiful amount of self esteem when in their presence, I find how miraculous it is to have such incredible animals. Horses are not always perfect, but because they have unique and quite substantial personalities, they are great teachers. Once I have learned what they have taught me, there is this feeling of pride and a glorious contentment. The feeling of being able to hold something so magical, gallant, noble, proud, regal, splendid, stately, and phenomenal in your hands gives me the most fabulous and compelling feeling. Indeed horses are so much more than what many people think.
I am convinced that horses know they are something special...................................I hope you know that too!

  1. Oh. My. Yes. Horses are God's best creation, besides people of course. Hahaha. I heard a funny story while I was visiting Findlay, OH. One of the Professors/Vet told this story about the day God created the horse. Here goes...

So God got to the 6th day of Creation God looks out and sees all the beautiful animals he has created. Something was missing!!! He hadn't created anything majestic, beautiful, and powerful. Hmmm... He says... Let me see what I have left in my workshop. I have long legs, cute ears, a mane and tail, and beautiful bay paint. Ok I'll see what I can do with this. So God makes the horse. It is such a magnificent animal with great presence and athletic ability. When he looked into the brain department, he only had a small one left. UhOh. Well it will have to do. So he gave the horse a small brain for it's big body. He was so exhausted and planned to look for a bigger brain for the horse the next day, but we all know what happened on the 7th day. He played Wii and had a BBQ. To busy to remember the horse needed a bigger brain.

This was Dr. Peck's idea of why horse's get so scatter brained sometimes. I think she was making an off-color joke about our beloved TBs. Tisk-tisk. She dosn't know what she's missing!!!

So yes. I love horses. Always will. Never forget your first love - the horse. :)
