I dub thee, "The Heated Couch"

Saturday was one of the most fun days I have had in A WHILE!  Ponies always make my day, and Saturday was filled to the brim with ponies!  It was tons of fun doing in-hand stuff with a couple of the horses and chilling with all my 4-H buddies!
However, the highlight of my day was the short and very sweet ride I had with Rachel and Julio.  We went double-bareback on him.  Half-way through the ride I dubbed Julies, "The Heated Couch"!!!
We always call him a, "Couch", referring to his ideal back for bareback rides...BUT, yesterday I thought it more appropriate to call him the heated couch, because after all he is very cozy and warm, and he is no ordinary couch!  
I think that cute ponies like the one's we all love are little matches the re-ignite the "happy candle" in our hearts!

Horrifying

I did not get to go to the farm today, and I miss my pony already, but I did go to Cheshire Horse. I got some fly spray and a new pair of gloves. Now, I have to go and get some more things before I show this year. I love showing, but I don't have enough money to pay for all of this stuff! :( I wish I did. If I had enough money to buy all the stuff I needed, I would also give some money to my wonderful Super Duper Pooper Scooper friends!!! First, I think I would have to give some to my brother Jeff, because he is all ways asking for money from me!! I promise all of you, if I ever get rich and famous, I will Give All Of You SOME Of my money. I guess that is all for now, I hope to see all of you soon!!! <3 Ya!!!

Happy To See Him Dance

Yesterday Rachel, Molly, and I had a very exciting day at the barn!
We started by throwing down lots of hay (and hiding from spiders).  Once we finished all of the sweeping we ate lunch!  Then, after some interesting events we hopped on 2 ponies: Julio and Kramer.  Rachel and I had a jolly good time doubled up, bareback on Julies!  Kramer and Molly were as cute as can be as we wandered over to posey's/posie's (I don't know)... There, we were absolutely overwhelmed by the luscious green fields decorated with shimmering dandelions that were o-so-tempting to the ponies!
After that walk, we went into the ring and trotted a bit!  After cooling and cleaning Julio and Kramer, we brought Jazzy and Sharky in for lunch!  The munched while we cleaned up after our ride and I groomed Toby!  We let them continue to enjoy their lunch while we went up to the ring to HAVE SOME FUN!  Molly was exuberant as she experienced one of her first exploits at lunging!  Toby was very excited and very gooood!  Rachel started lunging him while I taught Molly a little bit about how to lunge.  Then, I took a turn with Mr. T and he was so round and looked like a hunter jumper with his mane blowing in the wind and his coat shining in the sun!  Then...BUMBUMBUMBUM Molly marched to her place in the middle of the ring.  She took hold of the lunge line and with a little bit of help from Rachel and I, she was lunging like a pro!  She and Toby were working so well together...the paparazzi (Mrs. Fabrizio) had to come and take some pictures!  After Molly brilliantly exercised Toby, Rachel and I cantered him a bit! And Toby LOVED it!  Each time I asked him to pick up the canter he did a little hop, skip, and jump and broke into a relaxed canter!  Honestly, for the first time, I was happy almost thrilled to see him do that!  I could tell that he was going to behave, but at the same time was just super duper excited!  I love him so much!  He was full of kisses by the end!
After we cooled him out, I let him graze on the yummy front lawn grass while I cleaned his sheath...  I'm so glad no one drove up the drive way while I was doing that; it was a sight to behold!!!
ANYWAY...I stretched Toby and then Rachel and I put out hay for the boys.  Once I said my last goodbyes to Mr. T he pranced out the barn door into the sunshine!  Jazzy and Sharky followed him doing the same.  After some sweeping, we set out to clean some tack!
That concluded my day at the barn full of laughs, kisses, and fun!
Gotta love my pony!

A li' scary, a lot cute!

What a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Now going on a long trail ride on my pony with my friends, laughing all the way out and back, now that would make my day even better. Enjoy that warm weather with or without a horse, but just admitted it you know that being with a horse would the day even more fun and and enjoyable!

I GOT BACK ON A HORSE!!!

O. MY. GOSH.  

It was beyond fantastic, amazing, and all the brilliant words that could describe a totally fun and uplifting day!  This past Saturday I went back to the barn, hung out with some awesome people and ponies, and rode my favorite pony of all!

I probably kissed Mr. T about 1,000,000,000 times and gave him about 1,000,000,000 carrots (not really).  It was awesome! I CANT HANDLE IT!
Ok, ok... so we all got our ponies and started grooming and Toby was beginning to remember who that crazy girl hugging him was...

I was so emotionally overwhelmed, that I did my little kick of excitement LOTS of times!  Toby kept turning his head to check on how I was doing back there as I repeatedly squealed with delight!  I oo-ed and aa-ed so many times on the inside at just about everything my pony did... because everything he did was, "Duh, just about the cutest thing ever!".

After I felt that I was covered with enough hair to protect me from the coldness, I made my trip to the door.  My heart was beating (1% anxiety and 99% excitement)!  I lead Noble Victory to the mounting block, tightened that girth, pulled the sturrups down, climbed the mounting block, put my foot in the stirrup, swung my leg over, and s.a.t.   d.o.w.n.   i.n.   t.h.e.   s.a.d.d.l.e.!!!!!!!!!!  WOOHOOOOO!
IT WAS SO SUPER DUPER POOPER SCOOPER ROCK YOUR SOCKS OFF AWESOME!

We had a really fun and helpful lesson...and surprisingly, I'm not that sore!

Back to the Barn

I got to go to the barn again today! So happy. :) I had a fun time with Rachel, Therese, and Molly. Really fun lesson (except for Mr. Oliver's oddness :P) on getting back the basics. CONGRATULATIONS to Therese on getting back in the saddle! I think Mr. Tobers was very happy to have you back. I was very happy to finally meet Kramer! What a cutie he is...once he gets back into shape and learns some more ground manners, I think he'll be a great lesson horse! I got to drive home and went through the rotary for the first time. AHHHHH! There was barely any traffic, so it wasn't bad at all, but glad to conquer that fear. : P Now to top it all off, I'm eating a McIntosh apple and Momma's makin' spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. YUM. <3 It was a good day. :D Glad to hang out with Dorothy, my horses, and my girls!

Horsin' Around

Today, Rachel and I played with ponies again! We started out with Sharkey and the ball...he was unsure at first, but then he loved it. He had a blast pushing it...and then Rachel. :p
Next, we played with Julio again...he was sort of reluctant at first. Rachel just had to show him that it's alright and that he's done it before!! However, she had to stare him down before he would push it back to me!!! :p

After that, we briefly groomed and played with Toby... He was very afraid of

the ball.... and he showed us his dislike!

All in all, it was a fun day!

Playing

So, I was at Dorothy's today and Rachel and I got Julio to play with the big bouncy ball! For a while, he was terrified of it, you could see it in his eyes. Then we kept rolling it around him, all over his body, and then eventually we bounced it off of him. After a while, he let us bounce in off anywhere on his body! Then, we tried rolling it to him to see if he would roll it back...it took a while, but he eventually did it! He did it three times in a row, and then he didn't do it for a while. When he did it the next time, it was quite forceful! :p He was a very good boy! Next week it's Mr. Sharkey's turn! :D

It's A New Year

Although our horsey year got off to a rocky start.(R.I.P Cents of Humor), I am very excited at the prospects of all the horsey fun we are going to have this year. I have made a few new years resolutions myself that pertain to horses and I really hope they work out. You all know how New Years resolutions normally work out. Haha Well not this year!!! Oliver and Iwill be doing Grande Prix Dressage before you know it! That wasn't actually my New Years Resolution by the way. Well my actual horsey New Years resolution was to build and even better relationship with my my big fuzzy boy (Oliver). So far so good!! And maybe we can get those two tempis down while were at it! Happy New Year everyone!!!
